About Us

The George and Falcon is a family run restaurant and inn conveniently located on the A32, between Droxford and West Meon in the picturesque village of Warnford, within easy distance of Winchester, Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham, Petersfield and Alresford.

Since we as a family, took over at the ‘George & Falcon’ in 2010 with myself (Matt Hill) as the Landlord and Head Chef, my father (Dave Hill) managing the Front of House and my sister (Catherine Goff) organising all our Events and Marketing, we have always strived to offer the very best we can, in both service and food. 

Over the last eight years we have continued to develop our menu, whilst retaining the classic pub food for which this business was built upon, with such dishes as fish & chips and sausage & mash, but using the best products such as line caught cod and local award winning sausages. We also strive to offer more contemporary dishes such as our slow braised lamb wellington or seared scallops with confit pork belly and whilst being unashamedly British, we also take influences from far and wide and include Mediterranean and Eastern specialities from time to time.

We are very proud of the food my team and I create, but none of it would be possible without the fabulous products we receive from our suppliers such as ‘Judes’ with their ice cream with every flavour having received a Great Taste Award and ‘Village Fruit & Vegetables’, where Kev and his wife Claire, supply us with the freshest local vegetables and fruits on a daily basis.
